The Kiai Karate Club and Sensei Gibson have done it again. Sensei Gibson had opened a new Kiai club branch in Bequia some six (6) months ago. The two clubs combined along with the Shin Dojo from St.Vincent under the leadership of Chief Instructor Ivo Providence took the Kyu (rank) examination held on the 3rd May, 2007.{{more}}

The examination was supervised by Sensei Hiroyishi Okasaki of the International Shotakon Karate Federation.

Twenty-eight students of the Kiai Club, age 7 being the youngest and 62 the oldest including 15 students from the Bequia Branch took the exams and gained 100% success. The greatest achievement was awarded to the Bequia Branch where six (6) students with their outstanding performance skipped the yellow belt (first grade) advancing from white belt (ungraded) to orange belt.

Sensei Gibson and his students were overwhelmed and overjoyed. The hard work they put in the training paid off, giving them a feeling of satisfaction and motivation to go forward hoping for a brighter future.
