In expressing his thanks to the NLA, Williams disclosed that when the national team left the state on Wednesday January 10 for Trinidad, they did so without any spending allowances, and part of the NLA’s donation will be sent immediately to the players in Trinidad.

“We would like to wish Vincy Heat all the success in Trinidad and hope that they bring back the $600,000,” Mac Gregor Sealy, Manager of the NLA told the gathering.

It was also announced that the NLA will be installing eight additional floodlights at the Victoria Park increasing the number to a total of 16 floodlights in the park in an effort to continue their service to the public.

According to the Product Development Manager of the NLA, Anthony Dennie, the lights will be ready in time for the National Softball cricket competition, which is scheduled to run from January 26 to March 10. Twenty-four teams will participate in the competition.
