Ball O Rama

The Seventh East Kingstown Dynamic Organsation Softball Cricket Competition commenced on Sunday 7th January, 2007 at the Dorsetshire Hill Playing Field. The opening ceremony was addressed by Area Representative, Hon Arnhim Eustace, Manager of the National Sports Council, Osborne Browne, President of the East Kingstown Dynamic Organisation, Joel Abraham, Sports Chairman of EKDO, Cornelius Edwards.{{more}}

This was followed by a two overs per team Ball O Rama between all participating teams. The Ball O Rama was won by Kingstown Hill United who had a ten run win over new comers, Fearless Warriors. Batting first, Kingstown Hill reached 15 for 2 off their allotment of two overs and in reply Fearless Warriors could only muster a meagre 5 runs in their 2 overs.

In the third place play off, Lollipop had a narrow 1 run win over Gomea Bombers.

The first prize for the Ball O Rama was sponsored by Nice Radio whilst the second and third place prizes were sponsored by St. Vincent Brewery Limited .

Digicel East Bank was adjudged the best dressed team.

The Round Robin competition commences next weekend with some five matches at the Dorsetshire Hill Playing Field. Some 24 teams are registered to take part in this year’s tournament.
