High performance by Vincy rugby ladies

At the Carib International Sevens Tournament in Trinidad recently, St Vincent combined with St Lucia to field men’s and women’s rugby sevens teams called “The Saints”.

Although the men’s team played well, it was the ladies who stole the show.{{more}}

The Vincy lady players did well on the first day, defeating the English team of Aepiscopaelians 24- 5 pts. They also tied 10-10 points with Royalians.

In their third game on Day One, they lost 5-15 to the American Cup Finalists – a team called Nova. Their last game was against a very strong American team called Atlantis, which eventually won the tournament. The Ladies reached the Plate final; they overcame Royalians by 12 points to 10.
