In the other semi-final knockout game Playing It Safe lost out to Calliaqua United with a harsh one-nil which sent them running.

This set the stage for the exciting finals between two of the favorite Calliaqua teams – Diggers Pic-up Squad and Calliaqua United teams. But despite a very strong showing in the finals by the Diggers Squad, they succumbed to a three-nil punishment from Calliaqua United who even chose the event to debut the youngest player in the competition, 12-year old “super-substitute” Alex who drove the final nail into the Diggers squad coffin. Alex was also voted Man of the Finals.

The first place team received the champion’s trophy, one case of Hype energy drink and $300 cash, while the second place team received the second place trophy, one case of Hype and $100.

The programme was organized by the Playing it Safe organisation as part of their Drug Demand Reduction Programme in association with the European Union Drug Demand Reduction programme in the Ministry of Health.
