Dallaway to represent West Indies in

Recardo “Yellow” Dallaway of Sion Hill – a key and long standing member of the St Vincent and the Grenadines Rugby Team – the Amazona Guildingii’s – has been selected to represent the West Indies in the Rugby World Cup tournament in Los Angeles in February 2007. Yellow made an outstanding contribution to St Vincent’s performance at the weekend in Barbados, where he was watched by a panel of selectors from the International Rugby Board (IRB) and the North America West Indies Rugby Association (NAWIRA).{{more}}

Recardo’s team mates are delighted by his selection. They said that over the years he rarely missed a practice and had always been a willing helper and contributer to the development of Rugby in St Vincent.

Over the next few months Recardo will be working on his fitness under the guidance of Anthony Joseph, for he will be competing against some of the best professional internationals in the world when he goes to Los Angeles. In previous years, the West Indies have faced international teams from England, Australia, Scotland, New Zealand, Samoa, and world champions Fiji.

They wished Recardo every success in his training programme for the International Rugby World Cup Sevens series sponsored by the International Rugby Board and to be played in Los Angeles in February 2007.
