Tennis players to recieve prizes

Next Monday evening, winners in the Cable & Wireless National Table Tennis Championship would be rewarded. Singles, Doubles and team champions would be decided.

The tournament, staged at the Old Government Printery Building in Kingstown began last Monday following a presentation of an $1800 sponsorship cheque to the National Table Tennis Association.{{more}}

President of the body Sean Stanley expressed satisfaction with the participation of young players in the competition.

This is the first team competition being played here for the past 15 years according to Stanley.

The president was grateful to Cable and Wireless for their contribution. “We hope it continues. We would try our best to make them proud,” Stanley said.
