OECS NEMWIL half marathon for Dominica

OECS and Caribbean Half Marathon runners are expected to face a challenging course when this road running event is staged in Dominica on Sunday November 26.

The NEMWIL sponsored race which is being staged in the Commonwealth of Dominica for the first time, will take place in the town of Portsmouth as the Dominica Athletics Association takes this prestigious event as part of their decentralizing programme.{{more}}

The 2006 OECS NEMWIL Half Marathon which is expected to attract the best of the OECS male and female runners will also see competitors from Martinique and Guadeloupe along with Trinidad and Tobago and Barbados. The 22nd running of the OECS Half Marathon with the beautiful rolling hills of Dominica as a backdrop, should provide the stronger runners with an opportunity to take the honours. The winning male and female runner will each receive US$1,000 cash.
