Vincy Heat in Digicel Cup showdown
St. Vincent and the Grenadines dubbed Vincy Heat during their last World Cup exploits, play Jamaica in the second match of their Group D encounter on today. They would be trying to rebound from their 0:4 loss to Haiti in Wednesdayâs opening encounter. Vincy Heat wind up their bid to advance with a showdown against St.Lucia Sunday October 1.{{more}}
The US Virgin Islands began staging matches in Group C, which includes Bermuda and Dominican Republic, in St. Thomas. That round also ends October 1.
The top two teams from Groups C and D join Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Bahamas, Cuba, Guadeloupe, Martinique, Guyana, and Surinam in the second round of the 2007 Digicel Caribbean Cup. That segment is carded to take place in October and November 2006 at venues to be announced. The Final Round is scheduled for Trinidad and Tobago from 31 January to 11 February.
