Somerset, Peto Stars clash

Somerset recovered from 11 for four to reach 112 for seven off 16 overs when rain interrupted play, and that gave them a nine run win over Winterset in the Vinlec North Leeward 2020 semifinal at Petit Bordel Playing Field last Sunday. Dexroy Edwards 23 was the leading run getter for Somerset. Fitzmore Edwards four for 19 was the pick of the bowlers for Winterset.{{more}} They fell for 103 for eight off 16 overs in their turn at the crease.

Peto Stars made light work of Ajuba in securing a seven wicket win.

Ajuba struggled to 82 all out off 19 overs.

David Porter 21 and Gemmmel Jeffery 20 offered some resistance.

Ronique Laborde 3 for 16 and Dale Michael 3 for 24 did the damage for Peto Stars.

Peto Stars rushed to their total reaching 86 for 3 off eight overs with Sheldon Hooper 33 and Teshern Lavia 27 not out in good knick.

Somerset and Peto Stars clash in the grand finale scheduled for Sunday 1 October, at Petit Bordel. Following the final there would be a friendly cricket match between a Vinlec squad and a North Leeward Masters outfit. The curtains come down on the tournament with distribution of awards and trophies.
