According to head coach of the program, Ralph Stowe, the participants in the Mini Day Soccer Tournament will be divided into three age groups – ages 7 years and under, ages 8 to 9 years and 10 to 12 years. They will play matches in a round robin phase of the tournament to determine the best two teams in each age group. The best two teams in each age group will then play in the finals to determine the age group winners. As in the Bequia Youth Soccer program as a whole, emphasis in the Mini Day tournament will be on participation and friendly competition among the youngsters.

After the Mini Day Soccer Tournament, the Bequia Youth Soccer program will take a two-week break and resume regular training sessions on September 9, 2006. There are over 100 children between the ages of 6 and 12 years registered in the Bequia Youth Soccer program. Of these, approximately sixty boys and girls attend regular training sessions every Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Clive Tannis Playing Field.
