Duke outpoints Mustique Icons in Basketball

Action in the Bequia Basketball Tournament continued last weekend. Saturday’s games in the Second Division saw Rising Stars beating Young Blazers 65 to 52.

Cregg Williams, 21 points, 19 rebounds, and five blocks was the leading scorer for Rising Stars. Jamal Hutchins, 13 points, was the leading scorer for Young Blazers.{{more}}

In the First Division, Duke outpointed Mustique Icons 61 to 54. Gosnel Gumbs with 21 points, six rebounds, two steals was the leading scorer for Duke.

Kendall Cumberbatch, 16 points, was the leading scorer for Mustique.

In other First Division action, Rising Stars defeated TW East Blazers 66 to 62.

Craiglee Sam, 28 points, 12 rebounds, and four blocks was the leading scorer for Rising Stars. Keithroy Lavia, 18 points, was in charge for East Blazers.

On Sunday in the Second Division, Gladiatorz defeated Warriaz 77 to 70.

Cosmus Hackshaw, 36 points, and 17 rebounds, was the leading scorer Gladiatorz. Kerry Frederick, 19 points, led the way for Warriaz.

In the First Division,

Mustique Icons brushed aside Westend Wizards 79 to 19.

Lindon Garrick with 23 points, seven rebounds, was the leading scorer for Mustique.

Rockford John, six points, was the action man for Wizards.
