Lerissa still number one

SEARCHLIGHT caught up with the slightly built college freshman who admitted that she had a rough time adjusting to the new training regiment and general life at the school but is looking forward to her collegiate tennis career.

Morris had an average season’s record of eight wins and seven losses in matches played. She plays at the number 3 spot of six players for the college. Morris was, however, quick to tell SEARCHLIGHT that she has no ambitions for a career in pro tennis but is glad for the opportunity to get an education, which is her premiere focus.

Morris will join Deron Grant to represent St Vincent and the Grenadines at the OECS Tennis Championship in Antigua before heading back to school in August.
