Leacock pleased

Local football federation president St. Clair Leacock has praised this country’s ambassador to Cuba, His Excellency Dexter Rose.

The kudos came during last Tuesday’s sitting of the House of Assembly. Leacock, a Senator on the opposition benches, came within 16 votes of winning the Central Kingstown constituency in the December 5, 2005 poll. Incumbent Conrad Sayers eclipsed him.{{more}}

Leacock was manager of the Vincentian Under 21 Football squad, which vied for the Central American and Caribbean Games Final in Cuba last week.

Leacock expressed the view that the Vincentians “did not disappoint.”

He was pleased with the “courtesies” extended to him by Ambassador Dexter Rose and his wife Lotier, and declared that everything at the “Embassy was in order.”

Leacock was hosted by the Cuban Ambassador designate to St. Vincent and the Grenadines and visited the Cuban National Assembly.
