More cash sails Bequia’s way

The Bequia Sailing Club now has more funds to prepare for the Annual Bequia Easter Regatta.

A cheque of $10,000 was presented by Digicel last Wednesday February 2006 to the Sailing Club in Bequia.

Marketing Executive, Juno DeRoche said that it is Digicel’s way of giving back to the community and they are always glad to contribute to a worthwhile cause and promote Vincentian culture.

Rear Commodore of the club Noel Mawer added that the last year was record setting in terms of the participation by boats and people in the festivity. He further said that he looks forward to more participation and the Regatta being a huge success this year. The Regatta runs from April 13-17.
