Digicel, Sprotts sponsor cricket team

East Bank, a cricket team that hails from Arnos Vale has received sponsorship from Sprotts Distributors/ Digicel, just in time for the big East Kingstown Dynamic Organization Softball Cricket Competition that starts tomorrow at Dorsetshire Hill.{{more}}

The team has been sponsored gear to the tune of $1,800.They received full uniforms, soft balls, sunshades and bandanas.

Sprotts Distributors/Digicel Brand Manager, Esworth “Ezzie” Roberts, said the team’s performance and discipline could determine the future of the sponsorship.

Captain of the team, Roger Gibson, expressed thanks to Sprotts Distributors/ Digicel.

He described the three-year-old team as having members who are young and energetic and promised not to disappoint the sponsors, and pledged to go all the way to the finals.

East Bank has reached the quarter-finals on two occasions, one in the East Kingstown competition and the other at Dauphine.

The team’s best achievement to date was bowling a team out for 15 runs last year.
