King signs with Oral Roberts University

Shawn King, originally from the Northern Grenadine island of Bequia, is continuing to make a name not only for himself, but indeed, Bequia from which he hails originally and by extension, the rest of the State.

Like Adonal Foyle from the Southern Grenadine Island of Canouan, King is creating his own spectacular basketball routine. King has signed with Division One Oral Roberts University of Oklahoma.

He will be playing for Head coach Scott Sutton and the ORU Golden Eagles for the 2006-07 season.

King is sharpening his skills at the Junior College circuit with coach Mike St. John of Carl Albert State College. He is ranked among the United States of America top 25 Junior Players, and is the number six centre in the nation.
