West Indies facing uphill battle in second Test

The beleaguered West Indies touring party enters the third day of their three match Test tour at the Bellerive Oval today Friday.

Fans will be optimistic that the sacrifice of their night’s rest to watch their team in action would not have been wasted.

The West Indies team read: Chris Gayle, Devon Smith, Ramnaresh Sarwan, Brian Lara, Shivnarine Chanderpaul (captain), Marlon Samuels, Dwayne Bravo, Denesh Ramdin, Daren Powell, Fidel Edwards, Corey Collymore. 12th man: Dwayne Smith.

AUSTRALIA: Mike Hussey, Matthew Hayden, Ricky Ponting (captain), Michael Clarke, Brad Hodge, Andrew Symonds, Adam Gilchrist, Brett Lee, Shane Warne, Stuart MacGill, and Glenn McGrath. 12th man: Nathan Bracken.
