Shanna to play at Missouri university

Shanna Browne, a former North Union Secondary school student and player for Celebrity Basketball team, has enrolled at the Lincoln University Missouri.

Browne impressed on the Basketball court and has attracted attention on the American circuit.

She was among nominees for Sports Woman of the Year in 2002. And has copped the Most Valuable Player award on seven occasions.{{more}}

Browne sharpened her experience with a trip to Cuba with the National squad at the 2004 Caribbean Basketball Championship. She is noted for speed and strength, combined with hard work, dedication and ambition, which have contributed to her success.

From the area of Lowmans Windward, Browne attended the New Grounds Primary School. She joins a growing list of Vincentians who have established a mark on the international.

Sohpia Young piloted the Baylor Bears to the NCAA title earlier this year and Sancho Lyttle was drafted number Five in the WNBA.

Browne will be studying Agricultural Science while enhancing her sporting prowess.
