Construction firm frank with sports
Sylvanus Francis can be considered a North Leeward man. His commitment to that community has been established. He worked as a Land Surveyor on the Cumberland Hydro Project between 1984 and â89.
He has lived at a number of places in North Leeward. So when Franco Construction got the nod for Phase One of the Cross Country Road, they became a candidate for sponsorship support. {{more}}
Franco Construction handed over a cheque to take care of the Franco Construction North Leeward Independence 10K carded for October 16.
Francis used the occasion to update on Phase One of the Cross Country Road. He outlined that 75 percent of the work was complete. That section from the Rose Hall Police Station to the Marketing Corporation Depot at Belmont was paved and that to Troumaca was ready for paving.
The other act of generosity was to the Franco Construction St. David Cricket team.
That cricket team won the 2003 Bottlers’ First Division tournament and was promoted to the RBTT Premier Division 2004.
Julius Anthony President of the North Leeward Sports Association thanked Francis for his company’s generosity.
