Capt. Ollivierre excels in T&T STAG/Ultra rally

Steve “Capt” Ollivierre did St. Vincent and the Grenadines proud in the Trinidad and Tobago International Rally sponsored by STAG/Ultra.

Driving his East Caribbean Metals Industries, Empire Cigarettes, Mariners Inn Hotel, Mitsubishi Cyborg, Capt placed second in his class and sixth overall from a total of 25 competitors.{{more}}

There were competitors from Jamaica, United Kingdom, Barbados and host country Trinidad and Tobago in the two day event August, 20 and 21, 2005.

Competing against mainly 4-wheel drive cars, his was the second fastest 2-wheel drive car, beating many of the 4 wheel drive cars. Penti Powell of Jamaica in a 4-wheel drive Toyota Corolla WRC was first.

This weekend, September 3 and 4th ,both Steve “Capt” Ollivierre and Keith “DW” Francis will be competing in Barbados at the Bushy Park race circuit.

“Capt” in his Mitsubishi Cyborg and Keith in his Hyundai Excel will be going head to head against drivers from T&T, Guyana, Jamaica and host Barbados.
