Under-23 Netballers in St. Kitts

St. Vincent and the Grenadines Under-23 Netball team is in St. Kitts for the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB) OECS tournament.

The competition runs from August 26 to September 1. Coach is Joan Foster-Baynes, Captain is Saskia Diamond, other players are Leanna Lewis, Sonia Olliver and Kailene Thompson.{{more}}

Diamond with her dexterity will command the centre position, while Lewis’ accuracy will be pivotal in the goal area. Thompson links up with her teammates in the Wing Attack position, with Olliver keeping things tight as Goal-keep.

The debutantes are Anella Samuel (Wing defence), Tamara Samuel (Goal Attack), Nicolette King (Goal Shoot), Sylvia Ballantyne (Goal keep), Julia Cumberbatch (goal defence) and Onesha Nimblett (Goal defence).

St. Vincent and the Grenadines have won the U-23 title more than any of the other territories.

The team returns September 2.
