Enforcers are through to their Vinlec North Leeward cricket final. They secured their berth with a comfortable 31 run win over Troumaca United last Sunday at Petit Bordel. Enforcers rallied to 169 all out off 40 overs, built around Stinson Ince’s 35 and Gerald Gould 31. {{more}}

A gallant eighth wicket 49 run stand helped to prop up the Enforcers innings. The partnership came together at 104 for 7.

Gould produced some lusty hitting to achieve his total, while Ince’s was more measured.

Christopher St. Hill 3 for 33 was the chief wicket taker for Troumaca. Gerald Gould picked up 4 for 19 as Troumaca folded for 138 off 26 overs. William ‘Buddy Willie’ Edwards 3 for 14 gave valuable support with the ball.

It was a total team effort by Enforcers. Having gotten to their score, the fielders performed splendidly. Reynold McLean 30 and Denis Byam 25 tried to give Troumaca a platform, but both fell to magnificent catches.

Enforcers meet Peto Stars at Petit Bordel Playing Field this Sunday. Peto Stars advanced with a victory over Ajuba One. Umpires will be Christopher Sampson and Noxel Michael. There will be a presentation ceremony the following Sunday.

Eleven teams in two zones including last year’s winner D’Affairs began vying for the championship in April.
