Largo Height Playing Field reopens

Sports enthusiasts in the Old Montrose/Largo Height area now have a facility which they can use for recreational purposes. The Largo Height Playing Field has been refurbished.

Sporting action returns to the area with two forty minute football matches. This is scheduled for Sunday August 14 at Largo Height on the outskirts of capital city Kingstown. {{more}}

Shanti United plays Rockdale, followed by a Stingers/Rose Place clash.

The games will be preceded by a ceremony with speeches from government and sporting officials.

Area representative and Tourism and Culture Minister Rene Baptiste, will join parliamentary colleague, Education and Sports Minister Clayton Burgin.

National Sports Council’s Manager Osborne Browne and Chairman Lance John will also address the opening as well as area residents Glenn Greaves and Dwight Franklyn.
