FirstCaribbean sponsors Bonan’s Tennis Exchange


For the third consecutive year, FirstCaribbean has undertaken sponsorship of the expenses of the Bonan Tennis School’s Tennis Exchange to St Lucia from August 10 to 13.

A squad of 26 Vincentian tennis players between ages of 9 and 18, accompanied by three coaches, will spend four days in St Lucia to participate in the 2005 St Vincent/St Lucia Junior Tennis Exchange. {{more}}

The Exchange involves some of the best young tennis talent in the two Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) countries.

It is the 5th year of the exchange and St Vincent and the Grenadines is leading the Series 3-1.

The Bonan Tennis School, whose directors, Mike Nanton, Peter Nanton and Anthony Boyea are all former National Tennis Champions, is involved in the promotion of tennis at the grass roots level in St Vincent and the Grenadines through the promotion of a Junior Tennis Programme which boasts the largest group of junior tennis players in the island.

Bonan’s members have excelled at al National Junior Tennis Tournaments, achieved junior World rankings, have won National Sports Awards, and have been awarded tennis scholarships at Universities in the United States.
