Rugby coach preparing national squad

The St. Vincent and the Grenadines Rugby Association has recruited an England International Under-18 player to coach the national Under-19 team which will play in Jamaica between the July 15 and 24. {{more}}

Mitchell Hulme, the coach, had a successful playing career, representing England at Under-18 level and Scotland at the Under-19 level.

He formerly captained Cheshire Under-20s and plays full time for Manchester as hooker.

Hulme is a Rugby Football Union (RFU) Ambassador in the process of getting his Level 2 RFU Coaching Certificate. The Rugby Association said that in the short time Hulme has been in the country he has been making major improvements in the fitness level, commitment and skill levels of the Vincentian Rugby Players.

Hulme has Caribbean roots from a Guyanese mother and Scottish father.
