Before the final of the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Cooperative Bank Under 15 Cricket competition on June 29, three players have made their mark on the field of play.

Lewis, a Petit Bordel Secondary School student has been the only centurion. He hit 106 against Troumaca Ontario Secondary School.

Dickson, a St. Vincent Grammar School student has been having a bountiful harvest. He has snarled 19 wickets including a best of 7 for 27 against West St. George.

Of the 14 teams that took part in the preliminaries, six teams in two Zones have advanced. They are St. Vincent Grammar School, St. Martins and North Union in Zone One, and Georgetown Secondary, Petit Bordel and West St. George in the other.

The three teams in each Zone will be engaged in a Round Robin play off. The winners are scheduled to meet in the final at Grammar School Playing Field.

The other teams were Emmanuel High School Mesopotamia, Carapan Secondary, St. Joseph Convent Marriaqua, Emmanuel High School Kingstown, Bishops College, Campden Park Secondary, Barrouallie Secondary and Troumaca Ontario Secondary School.

Players in the championship have a chance to claim spots on this country’s Under 15 squad.

A Vincentian team will take part in a Windward Islands tournament in order to come up with a squad to take part in the West Indies Under 15 clash.
