Despite suffering their second successive One Day International Series whitewash on Sunday, West Indies captain Shivnarine Chanderpaul says there are some positives that can be taken from the defeat.{{more}}

The West Indies went down by 22 runs to Pakistan in the third and final ODI of the Digicel Series at the Beausejour Stadium, to slip to their ninth consecutive loss in one-dayers dating back to the VB Triangular Series in Australia earlier this year.

But the new Windies skipper found solace in the performance by the team’s batsmen.

“I thought that Chris (Gayle) batted well, Wavell (Hinds) and Chris, the two of them set it up well,” Chanderpaul explained.

“Myself and Chris also we had it on track but just after we started to lose it a bit there but we were on track and Chris did well to come through there. Huge total, big ask, but the guys did pretty well.”

The Windies will be hoping to take the first Test against Pakistan, which started yesterday in Barbados.
