Kendall shines for Icon ballers

Reigning Northern Grenadines Basketball champions Mustique Icons have showed that they will be a force to reckon in the Sprite/SVG Air Annual Grenadines Tournament.

Mustique led the standings at the end of the first round with victories over Bequia All Stars 81: 77, and Canouan Islanders 90: 66. {{more}}

Kendall Cumberbatch, with 29 points and 13 rebounds led Mustique Icons in the Bequia All Stars game. Tauran Ollivierre, 29 points and nine rebounds, was in excellent form for Bequia.

Lindon Garrick, 22 points, 12 rebounds, and one assist, was in top form for Mustique with Damian Harry 28 the marksman for Canouan.

Union Island All Stars 88 overcame Canouan Islanders 54, while Bequia All-Stars fresh from an invitational tour to Trinidad May 5 to 9, beat Union Island All-Star 81 to 61. Craig Sam 20, 14 rebounds, two assists and one block was the leading player for Bequia. Seymour LaBorde 12, eight rebounds was in good form for Union.
