Cable & Wireless to fund netball again

Cable & Wireless has once again given EC$20,000 toward the financing of the National Netball Championship as naming sponsor.

On Tuesday, March 29, Cable & Wireless’ Chief Executive (CE) Daryll Jackson (pictured at right) presented a cheque to president of the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Netball Association Doris McIntosh. {{more}}

This year’s tournament was launched on Sunday, March 13 at the Arnos Vale sporting complex with the participation of 41 teams competing in five divisions for the coveted title.

Jackson has said that “Cable & Wireless continues to be committed to National Netball and to the growth of sports in St. Vincent and the Grenadines”. Addressing the opening ceremony of the tournament the CE also expressed the company’s satisfaction with the level of performance displayed by the National players. “This,” he said, “was as a result of Cable & Wireless’ continued partnership with the St Vincent and the Grenadines Netball Association (SVGNA)” This is Cable & Wireless’ 12th year as sponsor.
