That team opposes Emmanuel High School Mesopotamia who beat Campden Park Secondary by 52 runs in the first semifinal encounter at Arnos Vale Two last Tuesday.

Nicolas Browne 53 supported by Genel Neil 26 and Lex Bute 23 contributed with the bat as Campden Park got to 170 in 37 overs.

Marco Ash 4 for 53 was the destroyer of the Campden Park innings.

But that was not enough. Emmanuel scored 220 for 6 in 41 overs when the cut off point came.

Coach Luke Browne, former Windwards Under 19 player analyses the result as owing to a good team effort. He is looking forward to an interesting final.

Emmanuel High School Mesopotamia will be looking for their third United Insurance Secondary School Cricket title.

Browne was full of praise for allrounder Keron Cottoy. His 49 was crucial in the victory against Campden Park. Patrick DaSouza 41 not out also played a vital innings.

Lex Bute 2 for 41 and Genel Neil 2 for 46 showed signs of all-round ability for Campden Park.

Whatever unfolded yesterday, there will be a new champion this year. Last year’s winner Emmanuel High School Kingstown was beaten by Troumaca Ontario Secondary School.
