Sophia Young jumping high

She is now a Junior, but Vincentian female basketball player Sophia Young continues to be the center of attraction at Baylor University, Texas, U.S.A. as she dazzles all and sundry with her forward moves.

The 21-year-old is the talk of the town. For the 2004-2005 season, Sophia leads her team in scoring (17.3), rebounding (9.8 average) and block shots (19). {{more}}According to Texas head coach Jody Conradt, “Sophia is relentless on the boards. I don’t know too many people that can jump as quick and as high as she can.”

With all that to her credit Sophia has the chance to make it “Big time”.

The 6.1 Forward has been nominated as an All-American Candidate by her University based on a number of out standing achievements and awards:
