Pamenos third in Bermuda race

Pamenos Ballantyne, facing international competition, was beaten into third place at the Bermuda Marathon last Sunday 16. Finishing the course in a time of 2:24:51, Ballantyne hit the tape behind El Afoui Boubker of Morocco and Simon Sawe from Kenya. {{more}}

Both the first and second place winners clocked a time of 2:23:31 ahead of the field which included competitors from Russia, the United States, the Czech Republic, Holland and Switzerland beside host country Bermuda.

This race marked the first for Ballantyne for the New Year and follows his nomination by the OECS Sports Desk as OECS Sportsman of the Year.
