Brian is number one Juggler

Brian Alexander proved his skills and left nine other ball raisers struggling last Sunday during a Digicel Soccer Ball Juggling Competition at the Grammar School Playing Field.{{more}}

The final part of the competition was held after Vincy Heat had secured a 3:1 win against Grenada in the Caribbean Football Union (CFU) Digicel Cup Second Round Qualifier.

The first phase of the juggling, which featured 10 persons, came during the break. Five jugglers kicked their way out of the final when they lost their balance and dropped the ball. Another was disqualified.

Four persons had the opportunity to cop the EC$500 prize in the final but Alexander, with his superior ball-raising ability, out- classed the others.

The experienced footballer kept up the ball the longest and thrilled the crowd by balancing the ball on parts of his head. He also showed superb agility by doing his act while kneeling down with the ball on his head to the crowd’s amusement.

Participants received a Digicel T-shirt and a Digicel Knapsack but Alexander took the EC$500 top prize. Two other persons won Vincy Heat replica jerseys signed by members of the national soccer squad.

Digicel Group Sponsorship Manager Richard Nowell, Country Manager, Digicel St. Vincent Martin Bollers and President of the Football Federation St. Claire Leacock witnessed the event.
