Bonan tennis team heads for Grenada

Twenty members of the Bonan Tennis School head for Grenada tomorrow, Saturday 24, to take on Glynik School of Tennis. This is part of ongoing activity by the Bonan tennis School undergoing a hectic programme. They retained the Bonan Challenge Trophy when they beat the Marcelle Tennis Academy of St. Lucia earlier this month. The tournament was played at the National Tennis Centre at Villa. {{more}}
Bonan won 33 matches to 13 to capture the trophy and take a 3: 1 lead in the series.
Outstanding players from both teams were presented with medals. Those were Shane Huggins for Boys and Michelle Gun Munro and Olivia Haslam for Girls. Ian Alcee and Dominic Lovell were the male recipients and Emma Dodd for Girls from Marcelle Tennis Academy.
Bonan Tennis School wound up its annual Summer Camp at Calliaqua Anglican School. Eighty students attended. It was coordinated by Justin Douglas, a teacher at that school, and coaches Peter Nanton and Tony Boyea conducted the programme. Eight persons were selected to take part in the Bonan Tennis School Summer Camp from August 9 to 20.
They are Vanessa Williams, Tiffany Duncan, Denise Warren, Codi King, Jade Byron, Karla Franklyn, and Delano Nicholls.
