The Vinlec North Leeward Senior Cricket Competition resumes next Saturday, after a break for national Carnival festivities.
Enforcers play Peto Stars at Richmond. On Sunday Troumaca meet Summerset at Troumaca Bay, while at Richmond D’Affaires meet Ajuba One. These matches are set to start at 10 a.m.{{more}}
When the competition halted two weeks ago, Enforcers comfortably beat Rangers powered by two centuries in mounting 337 off 37 overs.
William Edwards cracked 109 and the evergreen Orville Franklyn 122.
Rangers responded with 239 all out, falling short by 98 runs.
A pugnacious 91 led Rangers’ run chase from Cavin Charles. His innings included 11 sixes and 4 fours. Chipping in with 54 was Sydney Morris. Simon Jack bagged 5 for 74 and Verol Snagg 4 for 35 for Enforcers.
At Richmond, Smokey recorded their first win for the competition, getting the better of Mr. Cool Uprising Youths by five wickets.
Uprising posted 104 all out off 19 overs. Leroy Henry, 4 for 44, and Deron Louie, 4 for 5, combined in destroying Uprising’s batting.
Smokey cruised to 108 for 5 off 21 overs piloted by Louie, 53 not out.
