Vinlec North Leeward cricket rolls

A spell of fiery pace bowling by Hank Hall, 4 for 13, put a dent in Peto Stars’ effort in their opening encounter of the Vinlec North Leeward Senior Cricket Tournament. Hall, supported by Israel Mason, 3 for 25, combined to dismiss Peto Stars for 64 in 18 overs.
That was in reply to Somerset, 188 off 33 overs. Alain Williams, 44, Vishaun Williams, 41, and Israel Mason, 27 not out, were the main contributors with the bat.{{more}}
Ronique Laborde, 5 for 35, and Orland Hooper, 3 for 33, were the chief wicket takers for Peto Stars. That match was played at the Richmond Playing Field.
The other scheduled fixture at Troumaca Bay Playing Field resulted in easy points for Ajuba Two. Smokey United failed to field a team.
No matches are set this weekend, in order to accommodate two One-Day International matches featuring West Indies and Bangladesh.
The North Leeward Sports Association St. David cricket team secured a ten-wicket win over Sion Hill Two last weekend.
Sion Hill was dismissed for scores of 39 and 61, and North Leeward Sports Association St. David declared at their over-night score of 90 for 1 with Orlando Charles 48 not out. They knocked off the required ten runs for victory without loss. Rafique Nash, 3 for 6, was the pick of the St. David bowling in the first innings.
