East Blazers just too hot

The Bequia Basketball tournament is nearing conclusion. Last Wednesday’s game at the Clive Tannis Hard Court on the northern Grenadine island, saw a Tie-breaker between Duke and Rising Stars to determine the First place in the First Round.

Last weekend, Tradewinds East Blazers chalked up two victories. They beat West End Wizards 68:44 on Saturday and followed the performance with a close 57:55 win over Mustique Icons on Sunday. {{more}}

Duke beat Westend wizards by default 40:nil as West End wizards did not show up on time on Sunday and forfeited the game.

Gladiatorz overcame Young Blazers 74:71 in a Second Division Game on Saturday. Cosmus Hackshaw 33 points, 15 rebounds, four assists and three steals was in great form for Gladiatorz, while Miguel McKree with 20 points was the leading scorer for Young Blazers. In the Under 16 Division, Hornets beat Young Wizards 49:41. Damien Lewis had a game high of 35 points, along with 28 rebounds, two assists, six steals, and two blocks to crown an impressive display. Jason Ollivierre with 16 points was the leading scorer for Young Wizards.
