Dr Gonsalves was at the time paying tribute in Parliament to the former Director of Library Services whose body was discovered buried in a shallow grave at the Beliar cemetery on Tuesday, April 22nd.

Dr Gonsalves said that he was in Trinidad when he got word of her death, and said that the news sent shivers through him.

He noted that while he is always sad when someone he knows well dies, or a citizen is murdered, Small’s death impacted him strongly as he considered her gentleness.

Dr Gonsalves hailed Small as a distinguished public servant.(KJ)
