The Ministry of Tourism, Youth and Sports was once again represented at the World Travel Market Exposition 2007 at Stand No. CA1011. Ministry of Tourism officials, namely the Hon. Minister of Tourism Glen Beache, Director of Tourism Vida Bernard and Assistant Sales Representative in the London Office Gracita Wilson were present, as well as Airline companies and property owners from St. Vincent and the Grenadines, to promote our multi-island destination. {{more}}Representatives from SVG’s Public Relations Company in the United Kingdom – BGB Communications – were also present.

While in the United Kingdom, the Ministry of Tourism representatives were engaged in numerous interviews for both the electronic and print Media, as part of the promotional activities. Interviews were also conducted with UK Airline companies such as Virgin Atlantic and British Airways. Minister Beache also participated in the Minister’s Summit

on Tourism where Climate Change was the primary topic of discussion.

A new promotional DVD on St. Vincent and the Grenadines was also released at the World Travel Market Exhibition 2007. Visitors to the stand included journalists, travel agents, travel writers and potential

visitors to SVG from the UK. There was

also a day dedicated to visits from graduate students in the Tourism field interested in collecting information to aid in their research.
