GM aims for more success in 2007

The General Manager of the National Broadcasting Corporation (NBC) has challenged the staff to work hard and to be creative making sure that the radio station survives and succeeds during this coming year and beyond.

Speaking at the Dinner and Awards ceremony held recently at the Tropic Breeze Hotel, Corletha Ollivierre said that skills development and continuous training is crucial to the station’s development as they move deeper into the decade.{{more}}

She also promised the staff that they will be able to move into the new facilities by the end of March this year. Final stages work is currently being done on phase one of the facility that will be the head-quarters of both NBC and the Agency for Public Information (API).

Meanwhile Chairman of NBC’s board, Kenneth Browne lauded the company’s move towards proper fiscal prudence.

“Our bills are being paid,” he declared.

He also told workers that with the new facilities they would be able to, and expected to face the challenges of the New Year and continue to take NBC forward.
