Service when life depends on it

For most people, travel is about pleasure or work. For others their lives depend on it. It is at such times that customer service can prove critical.

Customer Service Agent Paulette shared an incident where a kidney patient was due to catch the 6 a.m. flight to Barbados for Dialysis which was scheduled for 8 a.m. {{more}}The patient registered his concern about missing his appointment which was carefully planned as the doctor came in specifically at that time to specially supervise his treatment.

Paulette said she took the details, called up the hospital and informed them of the delay. The nurse on duty was able to contact the doctor and postpone his arrival until later that morning much to the patient’s relief.

‘I felt a real sense of satisfaction when this was accomplished,’ Paulette said.
