DVD awards

The Ministry of Tourism and Culture’s Promotional DVD was launched on April 18th, 2005.

According to the President and CEO of the Westminster Communications Group – Mr. Arie Raif – “The DVD won the highest award possible from the Aegis Awards, which is one of the oldest and most respected video/film production contests in the United States”. {{more}}

Raif said the DVD also won the second highest award from Omni Intermedia Awards. The Omni Awards are owned and operated by Media Corporation Incorporated.

This DVD also won the Silver Davy Award. This is a nationally known competition that recognizes the best in the converging fields of Film, Video, TV, Internet, Interactive Media, Animation and Audio Production. The Omni Awards are given in two categories, Bronze and Silver.

The Ministry of Tourism and Culture’s 15-minute promotional DVD is the first of its kind to be produced for the marketing of St. Vincent and the Grenadines as a tourism destination. It was produced by Travel View International through the efforts of the Westminster Communications Group, this country’s Public Relations Consultants in Canada and the United Kingdom.

The DVD that has been produced in four (4) languages: English, French, Spanish and German on PAL and NTSC Systems will be used to promote St. Vincent and the Grenadines locally, regionally and internationally.

The DVD is complementing the other marketing tools of the Ministry, e.g. brochures, magazines, posters, CD ROM, and will be distributed by the Ministry’s offices in the United Kingdom, USA and Canada as well as at the Barbados Desk. It is also being distributed at Trade Shows, Conferences and other marketing and promotion ventures.
