Through the assistance of GECCU’s Micro Financing Programme the Millenium Mart Supermarket was opened to business on November 2nd 2003. This enterprise is the only one of its kind in the town of Barrouallie.

Within the first year of operation, Sindy, through sound entrepreneurial strategies added a wholesale component to her business. Plans are on the way to establish a snackette, which would cater to the needs of many schoolchildren and the general public.

Despite the fact that the fateful day October 6th 2005 marks a tragic event, Sindy stands firm as a hero. This young woman of unmatched strength and determination is willing to continue on the foundations that were already built.

Sindy Richardson is one whom other young entrepreneurs can emulate. She is filled with high praises for GECCU and through her continued marketing strategies has encouraged several persons including her employees and other villages to become members of the Institution.

GECCU wishes Sindy every success in her rebuilding efforts and proudly presents her as our Outstanding Small Business Member.
