What will it be like when SVG celebrates fifty years of independence?

Will the citizens have been careful stewards of their inheritance and of their heritage? That can certainly be the case if the next 17 years are geared towards achieving and maintaining the goal of good stewardship. This is an opportune time to reflect on the past, the present and the future.

Congratulations to all who take the time to document, preserve and make accessible to the public literary, historical and cultural works of St Vincent and the Grenadines. Let us encourage young people, in particular, to focus on this aspect of development.

According to William Faulkner, US novelist 1897-1962: “The past is not dead. In fact, it’s not even past.”This quotation reminds us of the impact of the past on the present and the future. May everyone be good stewards of SVG and this world.

Happy 33rd SVG Independence Day !!
