The birth of separation from the British
October 1979, we stand with pride and freedom
Thirty one years now on our way
Vincentians, still to grip a firm hold
To be supportive of their own

Democratic we stand
Patriotic Vincentians, remember Independence
Speak out against who are in control of our land
Protest the wrong from right
The strong, help the weak ones
And make “Our Land” a better place
That we can be comfortable and live in

Be true, follow your goal
Be creative, everyone has his own
This Independence I pray
That Vincentians should see a better day
And Production can come in a smooth way
