Eustace: People threatened my life

Leader of the New Democratic Party, NDP, Arnhim Eustace has announced that several death threats have been made against him and other members of his political party.

In a press conference held on Friday, November 4, at the Party Headquarters, Eustace revealed that around 5 p.m. he was doing house-to-house campaigns in Frenches when someone using a disguised voice called his cell phone and threatened his life. {{more}}

He said not too long after, another member of his party, Vynette Frederick, who was also on the campaign trail with him received a call on her mobile phone with similar threats. Eustace also revealed that Senator St. Claire Leacock and Daniel Cummings received similar death threats at the same time.

The Opposition Leader said although he views these acts as intimidatory tactics by the ULP supporters, he has taken these threats seriously and has spoken with the police and has also taken measures to beef up security.
