Three new Covid-19 cases, 10 recoveries in SVG

St Vincent and the Grenadines on Saturday, April 3 recorded three new positive cases. Two of the cases are from samples received and tested on April 1, 2021, resulting in  a new positivity rate for that day of 0.8%. The third case is from 155 samples received and tested on April 2, 2021 resulting in a positivity rate of 0.6%, a release from the National Emergency Management Organization said.

“Ten (10) new recoveries were reported, bringing the number of total recoveries to sixteen hundred and twenty-four (1624). One hundred and twenty-four (124) cases  are active and ten (10) persons with COVID-19 have died. One thousand, seven hundred and fifty-eight (1758) cases of COVID-19 have been reported in St. Vincent  and the Grenadines since March 2020,” the release said.  

The public is urged to continue to use masks, sanitize, physically distance and get  vaccinated to reduce the spread of COVID-19 in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
