EU Ambassador presents GG with the letters of credence

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade has welcomed the newly accredited Ambassador of the European Union to Barbados, the Eastern Caribbean States, the OECS and CARICOM/CARIFORUM, Malgorzata Wasilewska.

On Friday December 18, 2020, Malgorzata Wasilewska presented letters of credence to Dame Susan Dougan, Governor General of St Vincent and the Grenadines. Ambassador Wasilewska previously served as the Ambassador of the EU to Jamaica, Belize, the Bahamas, Turks and Caicos Islands and the Cayman Islands, and also served as Head of Division Conflict Prevention, Peacebuilding and Mediation at the European Union.

During her visit to St Vincent and the Grenadines, Ambassador Wasilewska also met with Prime Minister Ralph E Gonsalves and Leader of the Opposition Godwin Friday.

The Ambassador took the opportunity to visit the Buccament Polyclinic which was funded by the European Union and also visited the SVG Community College.
