First session of Parliament will be closed to public

The sitting of Parliament scheduled for the end of this month will be closed to the Public.

This is according to a notice from the House of Assembly dated November 23, which said the restriction was in keeping with the House’s COVID-19 restrictions.

The sitting slated for November 30 begins at 4:00 pm and is the first session of the eleventh Parliament and Swearing in Ceremony of Members of the House of Assembly.

The notice said that the sittings of the House will continue to be streamed and aired live on several platforms including the Internet via NBC 705 Facebook and Lance Neverson’s Facebook page; radio via NBC 705, Star FM and WeFM; and on television via the Agency for Public Information (API) Flow Channel 116, VC3 Flow Channel 114 and SVG television.
